Today we went downhill skiing at Lake Louise. It was a was a mix of sun and cloud with a balmy temperature of -9 degrees. What a spectacular place to ski-so much terrain. Unfortunately the snow coverage was a bit thin. We still had a fabulous day! The highlight was skiing off the back of the summit chair (Whitehorn mountain) . We had to slide or hike down a bit through the snow fences to get to the fresh powder on Boomerang. It was so cool to ski by the permanently closed avalanche areas with the sun peaking through the clouds. The men’s downhill run was great too! Makes you really realize how crazy the World Cup downhillers are!!

Afterwards we went over to the Chateau to check out the lake-so beautiful! A winter wonderland!

We saw the Bow river and the Three Sisters on the way home. It was a perfect day! Legs are a little tired!
